TFMoran provided structural design for a new state-of-the-art television and film studio on the former 15-acre site of the Fort Devens U.S. military base located in Devens, MA. The 126,000 sf studio, designed by Bastien & Associates of Tustin, California includes four 18,000 sf “Hollywood-style” sound stages, production support offices, mill, storage building, and sound stage support areas. The entire project is constructed with concrete tilt wall panels and includes 120′ clear span timber trusses at the sound stages. Construction of this $30M fast-track project began June 2012 and was completed by mid September 2013.
