TFMoran Featured in High Profile Monthly for Donation to NH Food Banks

TFMoran has been featured in the January 2021 issue of High Profile for our contribution to two local food banks during the holidays. TFMoran donated $3,000 in total to local New Hampshire food pantries. Due to the pandemic, the annual company holiday lunch was not held this year. Instead, the estimated cost of both lunches was donated, providing an estimated 6,000 meals to New Hampshire’s people in need. In early December, a $2,000 check was presented to Abby Sprackland, on behalf of NH Food Bank at the TFM office in Bedford. Later that same week, a $1,000 check was presented to Arthur Cousins on behalf of Gather, the seacoast area food pantry at the TFM Portsmouth Division office. Check out the article here.

TFMoran helps NH Children stay in school amid the pandemic

TFMoran has made another $5,000 contribution to the New Hampshire Children’s Scholarship Fund to help families. This financial assistance is available to New Hampshire children of low- and moderate- income families to attend K-12 schools that best fit their needs. These scholarships can apply to private schools, out-of-district schools, and homeschooling, which make these options more financially available.

As a result of the pandemic, many CSF scholarship families are facing a new economic situation. CSF families may have lost a job or are now paying for childcare while classes have gone virtual or been cancelled altogether. These families earn an income of $48,000 or less, meaning they cannot afford to pay their school’s full tuition. But because of these unexpected circumstances, their children’s education is put in jeopardy.

Thanks to Kate Baker, Executive Director of Children’s Scholarship Fund New Hampshire, who visited our office for a fun socially distant photo op with TFMoran’s COO, Dylan Cruess!

TFMoran’s Seacoast Division donates to Hope for the Holidays

Donations made to “Hope for the Holidays” by TFMoran’s seacoast division employees have been matched by TFMoran, doubling their donation. Hope for the Holidays, an initiative put on by The Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth, helps nonprofits in the area by turning to the community for support. After being hit especially hard during the pandemic, local nonprofits are asked what tangible needs could be provided to them in time for the holidays.

The employees of TFMoran’s Portsmouth office stepped up this holiday season, raising money for two local organizations on the list: Greengard Center for Autism, and Seacoast Mental Health Center. The Greengard Center for Autism plans to purchase adult bean bag chairs to accommodate the sensory needs of adults with autism. The donation made to Seacoast Mental Health Center will go towards covering the cost of mental health services for an uninsured individual.

TFMoran recently provided engineering and survey services for the expansion of both Centers. The Greengard Center for Autism in Portsmouth opened a new Greengard Residence home for 5 adults with autism. This safe secure home provides a unique lifelong living and learning opportunity with a full day program including education, meaningful work, and access to recreation. The expansion of Seacoast Mental Health Center in Exeter included a 6,000sf building addition, associated parking and site improvements.

A Big THANK YOU to TFMoran’s principals for graciously matching the donations made by the seacoast division employees for these two great organizations!
