Atlantic Orthopaedics New Surgery Center Featured in High Profile

A recent project of TFMoran’s Seacoast Division, Atlantic Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine’s new ambulatory surgery center “New England Center for Orthopaedic Surgery”  is featured in High Profile Monthly‘s June issue focused on Healthcare Facilities! The project, which is in its second phase, is expected to be complete this summer.

The first phase of the project was completed in 2016. Phase two began with an amended site plan, approved by the city in 2019. The project team for both phases included Hereford Dooley Architects, and BBL Construction Services, working closely with the City of Portsmouth and affiliate Portsmouth Regional Hospital. TFMoran provided civil/ site design, permitting, land surveying, landscape architecture, and construction administrative services for the project located on 1900 Lafayette Road in Portsmouth, NH.

Dana’s Towing and Repair breaks ground in Hampton

Dana’s Towing and Repair held a groundbreaking ceremony on May 13th for their new 2,900 sf facility at 349 Lafayette Road in Hampton, NH.  The project began in 2019, in partnership with  Martini Northern Construction Management, TFMoran, Ikon Construction Management, and Kennebunk Savings Bank. Construction is expected to be complete in fall of 2021.

This family-owned and operated business has served the Seacoast Area for over 50 years as a full-service automotive repair and towing company. The new 5 bay facility will accommodate larger vehicles and house state-of-the-art equipment.

TFMoran provided surveying, civil, and structural engineering services for the project.

The Martini Northern Team, Ikon Construction Management as well as TFMoran’s Project Manager, Chris Rice were in attendance and helped to break ground alongside a representative of Dana’s Towing and Repair.

TFMoran Welcomes Aiden Behar as Structural Intern

Aiden Behar, EIT has joined TFMoran as a Structural Engineering Intern in the Bedford office. Aiden has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural concentration from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. He is pursuing his Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Aiden’s design experience includes building foundations, lateral resisting systems, and vertical support for new and existing structures. Prior to joining TFMoran, he worked for a design/build firm in Washington state as part of their structural team, working on large office buildings, processing plants, and cold storage facilities. He is proficient in Revit® and Risa-3D, and in 2017 he earned his Fundamentals of Engineering certification.

Sig Sauer Breaks Ground for new “Experience Center”

Sig Sauer celebrated the construction start of their new “Experience Center” with an official groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, May 7, 2021. The new 40,500sf state-of-the-art center will be located at the entrance of the Sig Sauer Academy training facility on Route 27 in Epping.

Sig Sauer’s president Ron Cohen was joined by NH Governor Chris Sununu in describing the project and what it means for New Hampshire and the economy. Sig Sauer started in the Granite State 16 years ago and is now one of New Hampshire’s largest employers.  Other state representatives, local officials and representatives of law enforcement were in attendance, along with Sig Sauer staff and the project team of Cowan Goudreau Architects, North Branch Construction and TFMoran.

TFMoran is providing civil engineering, permitting, survey, landscape design and construction administration services for the project. The new $13.5 million Experience Center will include retail and office space, training and education rooms, indoor firing range and Sig Sauer museum space. The facility is expected to open next summer.

TFMoran’s Sunrise Labs Patio design featured in High Profile

The new patio space at Sunrise Labs was featured in High Profile’s May 2021 edition, with a focus on Landscape Architecture. TFMoran Landscape Architects worked with Sunrise Labs of Bedford, NH to design a useful outdoor space to accommodate socially distanced gatherings during the pandemic.  TFMoran also worked closely with Property Manager Riley Enterprises, and JET Concrete of New Ipswich. TFMoran Designs Outdoor Space for Sunrise Labs

Bedford, NH– The team at Sunrise Labs, a provider of product development solutions to medical device OEM’s, asked TFMoran’s landscape architects to help them incorporate some useful outdoor space into the programming of their existing office building in Bedford. The goal was to create a soothing outdoor patio as an alternative gathering area to accommodate meetings, lunches and other functions for approximately 50 people, while maintaining social distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic.

TFMoran Recognizes Landscape Architect Michael Krzeminski for 25 Years

Michael Krzeminski, PLA was recently recognized for 25 years of service as a valued member of TFMoran’s Landscape Architecture Department.

He joined TFMoran in 1995 as an assistant land planner/designer. He earned his NH Professional Landscape Architect license in 2016 shortly after the licensure program was created. Now, as head of TFM’s Landscape Architecture Department, he is also licensed in Massachusetts and Maine.

Krzeminski has an extensive knowledge of native plants that provide attractive, all-season color palettes and thrive with minimal attention in a northern New England setting.  As a key member of the TFMoran land development team, he works closely with civil engineers from initial stages through project completion, and he is widely recognized for his high-quality master plans for mixed-use development of large tracts of land.

Michael Krzeminski, PLA attended the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry in association with Syracuse University and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Landscape Architecture.

TFMoran “Adopts-a-Block” in Manchester on Earth Day

TFMoran team members enjoyed a morning of volunteering for Intown Manchester‘s Adopt-A-Block which was held on Earth Day, Thursday, April 22. This annual event is a neighborhood cleanup effort for downtown Manchester’s public spaces that is held around Earth Day. Last year’s event was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Groups of volunteers from the local business community were assigned to green spaces throughout the city. TFMoran staff was assigned to Veteran’s Memorial Park located in the heart of the City on Elm Street. Thanks to Dylan Cruess, Nick Golon, Natasha Kultchitsky, and Julia Chartier for cleaning up litter and debris to beautify the park for all to enjoy.

TFMoran is Celebrating World Landscape Architecture Month!

TFMoran is celebrating World Landscape Architecture Month (WLAM)! This Internationally recognized event highlights the work of landscape architects and celebrates the design of public and private spaces. Established by the American Society of Landscape Architecture, WLAM aims to demonstrate how landscape architecture affects our daily lives and is celebrated every April to coincide with Earth Day.

TFMoran recognizes the outstanding work and dedication of our licensed Landscape Architects:  Michael Krzeminski, PLA and Robert Hoover, PLA, ASLA. They spend their days working closely with our civil engineers on land planning projects, including adding those special “curb-appeal” details!

Congratulations to Michael Krzeminski, PLA for his 25 YEARS of Outstanding Service in TFM’s Landscape Design Department!

Mike joined TFMoran in 1995 as an Assistant Land Planner/Designer and now leads TFMoran’s Landscape Architecture group. His role starts at the conceptual stage and continues through project completion. Mike is responsible for planting plans, specifications, and construction overview. His experience includes high-quality conceptual designs and renderings of commercial, industrial, and residential developments.

Mike is a Professional Landscape Architect licensed in the states of NH, MA, and ME. He attended the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry in association with Syracuse University and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Landscape Architecture.

Mike has a real passion for the design work that he does, but in his free time, he’s cheering on Coach Boeheim and the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team. “Go ‘Cuse!”

TFMoran project featured in NHBR’s “From the Ground Up”

The recently opened Bowman Place at Olde Bedford has been chosen as NH Business Review‘s “From the Ground Up” in the April 2021 issue. The project began in October of 2019 and was completed ahead of schedule despite numerous hurdles throughout the construction process.

TFMoran provided civil/site engineering, permitting, traffic engineering, and landscape architecture services for the new 3-story senior living residence. The 95,000sf, 150-bed facility developed by Senior Living of Bedford, provides 69 assisted living apartments and 36 memory care apartments with 24-hour care services. Amenities include a fitness room, library, game room, activities room, dining rooms, and other common areas for residents to enjoy.

The project team also included Development Manager Munson & Associates, EGA Architects, and Eckman Construction Company.

High-Profile’s April Issue Features 2 TFMoran Projects

High-Profile Monthly’s April issue focuses on Multi-residential and Restoration and Renovation projects; featuring two TFM projects; The Village at Banfield Woods and Highrock Church.

TFMoran is working alongside Green and Company Building Corp. to bring highly desirable community, The Village at Banfield Woods, to Portsmouth NH. The new 22-unit condominium neighborhood is surrounded by woodland covering over 44 acres. TFMoran is providing local and state permitting, surveying, civil engineering, planning, landscape architecture, and construction administration services for the neighborhood. The neighborhood is currently under construction, with some completed homes available and on the market.

TFMoran Structural Engineers (TFM) and Maugel Architects contributed to a collaborative design effort to repurpose a former industrial building into a worship and community center for Highrock Church. Located in Arlington, MA, the existing building (c.1900) originally built for manufacturing purposes, was most recently used for auto repair and auto parts warehousing. The project includes 19,700 sf of worship and support spaces with construction slated to begin this spring.
