TFMoran presents Land Title Survey discussion to law firm Sheehan Phinney

TFMoran Survey Project Manager, Mike Hammer, LLS, PLS, virtually presented a review and discussion of ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys on June 2nd to the Real Estate and Development Group of Sheehan Phinney.  The presentation was an overview of the Surveyor’s responsibilities under ATLA/NSPS, how they relate to state regulations New Hampshire LAN500 and Massachusetts 250 CMR 6, what constitutes a quality Title Insurance Survey, and essential materials and guidance they can provide in ordering a Title Insurance Survey to help streamline the survey process.

Mike is a licensed Land Surveyor in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.  His experience includes a wide range of surveying projects throughout New England ranging from the Boston Seaport redevelopment and the Boston Harbor Project to the first surveys of ancient parcels in rural New Hampshire.  He was formerly adjunct faculty at Wentworth Institute of Technology and is currently the Education Director for the New Hampshire Land Surveyors Association.  Title Insurance Surveys are an area of particular interest to him.

The Sheehan Phinney the Real Estate and Development Group is comprised of land title, permitting, and land litigation attorneys and paraprofessionals from their offices in Boston, Concord, Manchester, Portsmouth, and the Upper Valley.

Sophie Haddock joins TFMoran as Landscape Designer & Assistant Land Planner

Sophie Haddock has joined TFMoran’s Landscape Architecture department as a Landscape Designer and Assistant Land Planner in the Bedford office. Ms. Haddock obtained a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree with a Minor in Community Planning this May from the University of Rhode Island. She is the recipient of the 2021 Academic Excellence Award from the URI Landscape Architecture Department. Her coursework included community planning, planting design, plant protection and landscape surveying. During her time at URI, Ms. Haddock was an ASLA (American Society of Landscape Architects) Student Chapter member serving as Public Relations Coordinator. She was President of the Horticulture Club, a Teaching Assistant at the URI Department of Landscape Architecture and worked for a landscape architect studio in Los Angeles.

TFMoran Welcomes Aiden Behar as Structural Intern

Aiden Behar, EIT has joined TFMoran as a Structural Engineering Intern in the Bedford office. Aiden has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural concentration from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. He is pursuing his Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Aiden’s design experience includes building foundations, lateral resisting systems, and vertical support for new and existing structures. Prior to joining TFMoran, he worked for a design/build firm in Washington state as part of their structural team, working on large office buildings, processing plants, and cold storage facilities. He is proficient in Revit® and Risa-3D, and in 2017 he earned his Fundamentals of Engineering certification.

TFMoran Recognizes Landscape Architect Michael Krzeminski for 25 Years

Michael Krzeminski, PLA was recently recognized for 25 years of service as a valued member of TFMoran’s Landscape Architecture Department.

He joined TFMoran in 1995 as an assistant land planner/designer. He earned his NH Professional Landscape Architect license in 2016 shortly after the licensure program was created. Now, as head of TFM’s Landscape Architecture Department, he is also licensed in Massachusetts and Maine.

Krzeminski has an extensive knowledge of native plants that provide attractive, all-season color palettes and thrive with minimal attention in a northern New England setting.  As a key member of the TFMoran land development team, he works closely with civil engineers from initial stages through project completion, and he is widely recognized for his high-quality master plans for mixed-use development of large tracts of land.

Michael Krzeminski, PLA attended the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry in association with Syracuse University and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Landscape Architecture.

TFMoran is Celebrating World Landscape Architecture Month!

TFMoran is celebrating World Landscape Architecture Month (WLAM)! This Internationally recognized event highlights the work of landscape architects and celebrates the design of public and private spaces. Established by the American Society of Landscape Architecture, WLAM aims to demonstrate how landscape architecture affects our daily lives and is celebrated every April to coincide with Earth Day.

TFMoran recognizes the outstanding work and dedication of our licensed Landscape Architects:  Michael Krzeminski, PLA and Robert Hoover, PLA, ASLA. They spend their days working closely with our civil engineers on land planning projects, including adding those special “curb-appeal” details!

Congratulations to Michael Krzeminski, PLA for his 25 YEARS of Outstanding Service in TFM’s Landscape Design Department!

Mike joined TFMoran in 1995 as an Assistant Land Planner/Designer and now leads TFMoran’s Landscape Architecture group. His role starts at the conceptual stage and continues through project completion. Mike is responsible for planting plans, specifications, and construction overview. His experience includes high-quality conceptual designs and renderings of commercial, industrial, and residential developments.

Mike is a Professional Landscape Architect licensed in the states of NH, MA, and ME. He attended the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry in association with Syracuse University and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Landscape Architecture.

Mike has a real passion for the design work that he does, but in his free time, he’s cheering on Coach Boeheim and the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team. “Go ‘Cuse!”

Party On! 2021 BOB Awards Virtual Celebration a Success!

The BOB awards party was held virtually on April 1, with winners and guests celebrating together over Zoom. The party included time to network with other NH business leaders, a trivia contest with Prizes sponsored by TFMoran and a keynote speech by Tom Boucher, CEO-Owner of Great NH Restaurants. Attendees were invited to submit their celebratory photos during the event for the chance to win gift cards to local restaurants.

The winner of each round of trivia received a prize of AirPods, an Amazon Echo Show or an iPad!

TFMoran was honored as the 2021 “Best of Business” in the engineering category for the ninth consecutive year! Awards are based on a poll of 4,700 NH Business Review readers. The BOB Awards honor the best of business across New Hampshire in over 90 business-to-business categories.

TFMoran welcomes Jonathan Devine to Survey Department

Jonathan Devine has joined TFMoran as a Survey Field Technician in the Bedford office. Jonathan recently graduated from Montana State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. His studies included Hydrology, Groundwater, and Wetlands, and he worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Land Resources & Environmental Science at MSU.  Additionally, he has an Engineer in Training (EIT) certification from the state of New Hampshire. Mr. Devine is also a licensed commercial boat captain and avid outdoorsman.

TFMoran Employee Fundraising Campaign Raises over $2,000 for Granite United Way

TFMoran partnered with the New Hampshire Chapter of the United Way in kicking off its first Employee Fundraising Campaign at the beginning of the year. COO Dylan Cruess worked with United Way’s Senior Director of Corporate Relations Amanda Ruggles to kick off the campaign on January 20th. TFM employees are donating over $2,100 for the Granite United Way this year through the payroll deduction or one-time contribution options!

A huge thank you to everyone who participated!

The United Way has made a difference, especially this year for those who have been hit hard by the pandemic. The Granite United Way has provided relief to more than 80,000 individuals by connecting them to medical assistance, unemployment benefits, housing, food and critical basic needs.
