TFMoran Employee Fundraising Campaign Raises over $2,000 for Granite United Way

TFMoran partnered with the New Hampshire Chapter of the United Way in kicking off its first Employee Fundraising Campaign at the beginning of the year. COO Dylan Cruess worked with United Way’s Senior Director of Corporate Relations Amanda Ruggles to kick off the campaign on January 20th. TFM employees are donating over $2,100 for the Granite United Way this year through the payroll deduction or one-time contribution options!

A huge thank you to everyone who participated!

The United Way has made a difference, especially this year for those who have been hit hard by the pandemic. The Granite United Way has provided relief to more than 80,000 individuals by connecting them to medical assistance, unemployment benefits, housing, food and critical basic needs.

The Village at Banfield Woods, a TFMoran seacoast project. published in Portsmouth Herald

The Village at Banfield Woods, a recent project of TFMoran, has been published in the Portsmouth Herald just in time for Engineer’s Week! This highly desirable community is surrounded by woodlands covering over 44 acres, inviting its residents to enjoy the great outdoors. TFMoran worked with Green & Company and provided local and state permitting, surveying, civil engineering, planning, landscape architecture, and construction administration services for the project. This residential development currently under construction will feature 22-unit stand-alone condominiums with common open space.

TFMoran Principal Corey Colwell is featured in the article, speaking about the project team and the design challenges that they faced. “This project utilized an exceptional team of consultants including soil and wetland scientists, wildlife biologists, civil engineers, surveyors, attorneys, and land planning consultants to design and permit this unique neighborhood.”

We are proud to be a part of the project team bringing this community to Portsmouth!

TFMoran Project Featured in New England Real Estate Journal’s Project of the Month

The New England Real Estate Journal has chosen Bio-Techne Corp. as the February project of the month. Construction was recently completed on the 26,000 s/f addition to the corporate headquarters located in Devens, Massachusetts.

TFMoran provided Structural Engineering and Construction Administration services for the project, and worked closely with Connolly Brothers, Inc. and Maugel Architects. The single-story addition provides more manufacturing and warehouse space for the life sciences company.

NH Business Review “From the Ground Up” features Bar Harbor Bank & Trust

The Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, a recent TFMoran project located in Bedford, NH is now complete amid these challenging times. This is Bar Harbor Bank & Trust’s first New Hampshire location, with others throughout New England. TFMoran provided Civil Engineering, Permitting, Land Surveying and Landscape Architecture services for the project. TFMoran is proud to be a part of the project team which included developer Paramount Partners, architect JD Design Associates, and Sullivan Construction.

TFMoran President Robert Duval in New England Real Estate Journal’s “2021 Forecast Spotlight”

TFMoran President Robert Duval shared his point of view on recent construction and real estate industry trends in The New England Real Estate Journal‘s “2021 Forecast Spotlight“. Industry trends he predicts will linger include a shortage of skilled labor due to the misalignment between education and the needs of employers. He goes on to state “applicants with degrees from well-known schools have only rudimentary training in the software that they will need on the job from day one”. Strict regulations are another setback for the industry, with the permitting process, rather than design controlling the project delivery date. “Nearly all commercial projects these days are required to submit studies of items once considered to be only for ‘major projects’. Bob goes on to say “another thing that won’t be changing in the year ahead: it will take a team of skilled experts working together from the earliest possible moments to deliver a successful project on time”.

Another TFM Structural Project Featured in High Profile’s Fast Facts Friday!

TGIF- and happy Fast Facts Friday! Acton Medical Associates at Highland Commons, a recent TFMoran Structural project is featured in High Profile’s Fast Facts Friday! Located in Hudson, MA, TFMoran Structural Engineers worked closely with Maugel Architects and Greenleaf Construction. TFMoran’s Stormwater Project, I-93 Widening, Featured in NH Business Review

NH Business Review‘s February issue features the long awaited interstate widening project that is expected to fully open this spring. The strip of interstate being widened runs from Manchester to Salem, the goal being to decongest traffic and enhance the safety of motorists. TFMoran provided Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), performed stormwater turbidity monitoring and inspection services for the project. TFMoran’s team of Certified Professionals in Erosion Sediment Control (CPESC), Certified Erosion and Sediment Stormwater Inspectors (CESSWI) and Environmental Scientists are  working with NHDOT and NHDES project officials.

The team of highway builders have included R.S. Audley, Weaver Brothers Construction, George R. Cairns & Sons, Severino Trucking Co., Alvin J. Coleman & Sons, and E.D. Swett.

TFM News in High-Profile’s February Issue!

The most recent issue of High Profile features TFMoran news including the announcements of new hires, awards, promotions and projects, as well as our recent donation to the NH Children’s Scholarship Fund.

The recent announcement of the addition of Julia Chartier and Guiseppe Granara was featured on High Profile’s “People” page. The promotions of Tom Lamb, Kyle Roy and Chris Rice was also prominent on the page, with High Profile being the first in press to feature this exciting news. The “Up Front” section recognized TFMoran for our recent contribution to CSFNH, with a photo of TFM COO Dylan Cruess presenting a check to Kate Baker of CSFNH. The “Awards” section recognizes TFMoran’s most recent award, earning a Gold-rating from The Registry Review‘s “Best of 2020” readers’ survey.

The February Issue has a focus on Restoration and Renovation and Cannabis Facilities. TFM Structural Engineers were a part of the project team for the Bio-Techne Corporate Headquarters located in Devens, Massachusetts. Working alongside Connolly Brothers, Inc. and designed by Maugel Architects, this single story addition includes an extended shipping area, storage and manufacturing spaces inside the former military base turned mixed-use community.

Another recent TFM Restoration and Renovation project, NewCorr Packaging, is also featured. Led by Maugel Architects, TFMoran Structural Engineers helped to complete the 40,000sf expansion in Northborough, Massachusetts which includes renovations to the front entry, lobby, and restrooms, as well as the expansion of the warehouse area.

TFMoran Featured in Associated General Contractors of NH’s Construction Connections Member News

The January 25, 2021 issue of The Associate General Contractors of NH (AGCNH) Member Newsletter features a story on TFMoran’s most recent contribution to the Children’s Scholarship Fund of NH. TFMoran’s COO Dylan Cruess presented a $5,000 check to Kate Baker, Executive Director of the CSF-NH on January 11th. This contribution helps to make education financially available to low and moderate income families, especially helping during the pandemic when CSF families are facing a new economic situation.
