TFMoran (TFM) Engineers, Surveyors and Scientists contracted with Public Service Company of New Hampshire (PSNH) to support the permitting and construction of the 1.2 mile 32W5 distribution line project to connect the Scobie Pond distribution substation to a termination point west of the Route 28 bypass in Derry, NH. The construction of the utility poles and their associated overhead lines were needed to improve the reliability of electric service for the Derry area. TFM’s Engineers and its Wetland scientist refined the project with PSNH to propose the least impactful layout that still met the electrical configuration requirements of the project. TFM also developed permits and plans to support the construction of the new distribution line. During the construction phase of the project, TFM’s Certified Professionals in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) provided monitoring of the project site to confirm compliance with permit conditions and worked with the Contractor and PSNH construction representatives to provide recommendations for implementation of appropriate best management practices.
