TFMoran was pleased to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the renovated Luther “Coop” Cooper softball field at Wolfe Park in Manchester, New Hampshire last Friday the 23rd. The event brought together Manchester Mayor Jay Ruais and representatives from the city’s Parks and Recreation Department to celebrate the reopening of the field and continued investment in the community’s recreational spaces. Representing TFMoran at the event were Jonathan Devine, PE, the project’s Civil Engineer; Sophie Haddock, the lead Landscape Designer; and Nicole Arsenault, the firm’s Marketing Coordinator.
In place of a traditional ribbon cutting, attendees celebrated by taking swings at a softball tee and hitting softballs into the outfield—a fitting way to mark the return of the field to the community!
The renovated field features a new playing surface, improved drainage, spectator seating, and field lighting designed to support games and practices. These upgrades are part of Manchester’s ongoing efforts to enhance Wolfe Park and provide residents with improved recreational opportunities.
TFMoran developed a master plan for Wolfe Park’s revitalization, focusing on preserving existing amenities while introducing new recreational features and infrastructure improvements. The plan includes a one-mile walking loop, a 20,000-square-foot skate park, eight pickleball courts, improvements to the softball field, enhanced drainage systems, expanded parking, and renovated public restrooms. Existing amenities, including the playground and basketball courts, were also retained.
The ribbon-cutting celebration marked an important milestone in the park’s continued revitalization and highlighted the value of thoughtful planning in creating welcoming, functional public spaces. TFMoran is pleased to see these improvements come to life and looks forward to seeing Wolfe Park continue to serve Manchester residents and visitors for years to come.
