Yesterday, TFMoran’s Bedford office had the pleasure of joining our neighbors at New Hampshire Housing for a Cinco de Mayo lunch celebration, featuring B’s Taco Truck.
Those who participated enjoyed a delicious, customizable meal with options including tacos, burritos, or burrito bowls, along with a variety of meats and fresh toppings. It was the perfect way to spend a beautiful, sunny spring day while enjoying great food outdoors with coworkers and neighbors.
Thank you again to our friends at New Hampshire Housing for the kind invitation and for bringing everyone together!
Cinco de Mayo is an important historical and cultural day in Mexican history! Here are a few quick facts about the holiday:
- Cinco de Mayo commemorates Mexico’s victory over the French army at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862!
- The victory was significant because a smaller, under-equipped Mexican army defeated a much larger French force.
- The holiday is most widely celebrated in the Mexican state of Puebla, where the battle took place.
- Cinco de Mayo is often celebrated in the United States as a way to recognize and celebrate Mexican culture and heritage!
- It is not Mexico’s Independence Day, that is celebrated on September 16.
