Two TFMoran Projects Receive Plan NH Merit Award of Excellence

TFMoran is pleased to have been part of two award-winning project teams recognized by Plan NH for excellence in planning, design, and development across New Hampshire.

One of the honored projects was Apartments @ 249 Main in Nashua, where TFMoran provided civil engineering, land surveying, and landscape architecture services. Working alongside project owner and developer NeighborWorks Southern New Hampshire, architect John S. Jordan Design, and general contractor Hutter Construction, the team transformed a long-vacant downtown parcel into a vibrant mixed-income residential community.

The six-story development features 45 residential units, including 19 one-bedroom and 26 two-bedroom apartments. Designed to support smart-growth principles, the project revitalizes an underutilized site in the heart of downtown Nashua while providing much-needed housing within walking distance of local businesses, services, and public transportation. The development includes an outdoor courtyard, community room, management office, laundry facilities, and elevator access to all floors. Through long-term affordability restrictions, the project will continue to provide housing opportunities for generations to come.

TFMoran was also proud to contribute structural engineering services for the Rockingham County Municipal Complex in Brentwood. This 110,000-square-foot facility was designed by Warrenstreet Architects and constructed by Harvey Construction, with support from project partners including ReVision Energy, SRW Environmental Consulting, Coughlin Environmental Services, and Nobis Group.

Developed to consolidate multiple county departments into a single modern campus, the facility houses the Sheriff’s Department and Emergency Dispatch Headquarters, Department of Community Corrections, County Attorney’s Office, County Commissioners’ Offices, and the Registry of Deeds. The complex also includes a 131-seat multi-purpose auditorium, secure operational spaces, and infrastructure supporting a multi-megawatt solar energy system. TFMoran’s structural design incorporated steel framing, reinforced masonry shear walls, cold-formed metal framing, and special moment frames to support the building’s operational, security, and architectural requirements.

The Plan NH Merit Awards of Excellence recognize projects that demonstrate outstanding planning, design, collaboration, and community impact. The awards celebrate developments that enhance New Hampshire’s built environment through smart growth, livability, environmental stewardship, and innovative partnerships. This past Thursday, June 18th, Civil Department Manager, Nick Golon and Marketing Coordinator, Nicole Arsenualt attended the award night at Arts Alley, in Concord, NH to receive the awards on behalf of the firm.

Founded in 1989, Plan NH is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering excellence in planning, design, and development throughout New Hampshire. Through education, collaboration, and advocacy, the organization works to create vibrant, sustainable communities that balance the needs of people, place, and the environment.

Jay Aube Becomes Principal, Takes Ownership Stake in TFMoran

Bedford, N.H.  June 10, 2026 – TFMoran, a leading engineering and surveying company in northern New England since 1968, is pleased to announce that Jay Aube, Director of Environmental Permitting, is stepping into the role of Principal and joining the firm’s ownership group.

Aube has more than 20 years of environmental permitting experience, including five years at TFMoran. His expertise includes wetland delineation, functional assessments, compensatory mitigation and restoration plans, as well as the design and permitting of coastal resiliency and shoreline stabilization projects. His work regularly involves environmental permitting at the federal, state, and local levels, and representing clients before regulatory agencies, boards, and commissions.

“Jay has been instrumental in TFMoran’s mission of promoting responsible development while protecting important natural resources,” said Robert Duval, TFMoran President. “His focus on environmental permitting ensures that projects are approved efficiently and responsibly. At the same time, he is mentoring our junior scientists to instill these values in the next generation of TFMoran professionals.”

Aube has contributed to several high-profile TFMoran projects, including the Granite Woods Commerce Center, a 500,000-square-foot Class A warehouse that required complex environmental permitting and infrastructure planning. The project extended municipal water and sewer service to the I-93 Exit 11 interchange, permanently preserved more than 400 acres of land, and added much-needed industrial space to the southern New Hampshire market. Aube was instrumental in securing the environmental permits for the project.

Aube is a Certified Wetland Scientist and serves on legislative committees for the Associated General Contractors of New Hampshire and the New Hampshire Association of Natural Resources Scientists.

TFMoran Sponsors Bowman Place 5-Year Anniversary Luau

TFMoran Chief Operating Officer, Dylan Cruess, and Marketing Coordinator, Nicole Arsenault, recently attended and sponsored the 5th Anniversary Celebration at Bowman Place Senior Living in Bedford, NH. The milestone event brought together residents, families, staff, and community partners for a festive Hawaiian luau celebrating five successful years of serving local seniors.

The celebration was especially meaningful for us, as our firm provided civil/site engineering, permitting, traffic engineering, and landscape architecture services for the Bowman Place at Olde Bedford development. Working alongside Munson & Associates, EGA Architects, and Eckman Construction, TFMoran helped bring the 95,000-square-foot senior living community to life. The three-story facility includes assisted living and memory care residences, along with numerous amenities designed to support residents’ independence, comfort, and quality of life.

Guests enjoyed an afternoon filled with Hawaiian-inspired food, tropical beverages, fresh fruit, and desserts including key lime pie pudding and toasted coconut cake. A tiki bar overlooking the putting green, tropical music, steel drums, and a live hula dancer helped create an authentic island atmosphere, while residents and their guests captured memories with a tropical-themed photo backdrop.

During the event, Dylan and Nicole were given a tour of the facility and had the opportunity to see firsthand how the community has grown since opening in 2021. Highlights included the dining room, library, salon, social bar, chapel, television lounge, game room, and other amenities available to residents.

It was inspiring to see how Bowman Place has flourished over the past five years. From welcoming its first 3 residents to becoming a thriving assisted living and memory care community with full occupancy and waiting lists, the facility continues to make a positive impact on the lives of local seniors and their families.

Congratulations to the entire Bowman Place team on this remarkable milestone. TFMoran is proud to have been part of the project’s development and looks forward to supporting the community’s continued success for years to come.

TFMoran Sponsors Addi Roy in the “A Shot For Life” Classic

At TFMoran, we are proud to support young athletes who are making a difference both on and off the ice. This year, we are excited to sponsor Addison Roy’s participation in the A Shot For Life Classic, a premier event that brings together some of the top high school hockey players from Northern New England while raising funds for brain cancer research. Addi personally raised more than $1,000, contributing to the event’s impressive total of approximately $90,000 raised for brain cancer research!

As the daughter of TFMoran Principal and Senior Structural Engineer Kyle Roy, Addi has grown up understanding the value of hard work, dedication, and community involvement. A talented student-athlete, she was recently selected to participate in the A Shot For Life Family Program and the Northern New England All-Star Game—an honor that recognizes both her hockey abilities and her character.

Balancing Academics, Athletics, and Community Impact

Like many student-athletes, Addi juggles a busy schedule of academics, hockey, and extracurricular commitments. While balancing these responsibilities can be challenging, she views it as an opportunity to strengthen her time-management skills and prepare for future success.

“As a student-athlete, you have to give your all in everything you do,” Addi shared. “Balancing school and hockey isn’t always easy, but it’s helped me learn how to manage my time and stay focused.”

A Well-Deserved Opportunity

When Addi learned she had been selected for the A Shot For Life Family Program, she was thrilled.

“I was really excited,” she said. “It’s an amazing opportunity to meet new people, play with talented athletes, and give back to a great cause.”

The selection process included not only evaluating players’ skills on the ice but also learning about them as individuals. Being chosen to compete among some of the region’s top players gave Addison a significant confidence boost and reinforced the hard work she has put into her sport.

Using Hockey to Make a Difference

One of the most meaningful aspects of the A Shot For Life Classic is its mission. The organization raises funds for brain cancer research at Massachusetts General Hospital, helping support patients, families, and future breakthroughs in treatment.

“Hockey has always been a huge part of my life,” Addi explained. “I’m excited that I can use something I’m passionate about to help people who are going through difficult situations and support such an important cause.”

Looking Forward to the Experience

As the event approaches, Addi is eager to take advantage of everything the A Shot For Life Classic has to offer.

On the ice, she’s looking forward to competing alongside talented players from New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont in a fun, high-level environment. Off the ice, she’s excited to build new friendships, connect with fellow athletes, and contribute to an event that positively impacts families affected by brain cancer.

“I’m excited to meet new people and have fun playing hockey without the pressure,” she said. “But I’m also looking forward to knowing that what we’re doing is helping families and supporting important research.”

Advice for Future Athletes

For other young athletes hoping to excel in their sport while making a difference in their communities, Addi offers simple but meaningful advice:

“Have fun and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there,” she said. “Getting involved in something like A Shot For Life takes you outside your comfort zone, but it’s worth it when you’re helping a great cause. Every little bit of support can make a difference.”

Addi is proud that the funds raised through her participation will help advance brain cancer research and support future patients and families. She is excited to see the continued growth of the A Shot For Life Classic and the impact it will have for years to come.

TFMoran is honored to support Addi in this incredible opportunity and wishes her the best of luck at the A Shot For Life Classic. We look forward to cheering her on as she represents her community, her teammates, and an important cause.
